Agreement to these terms
By using the site, sending an inquiry, or requesting or maintaining an artist listing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who may use the site
You must be at least 18 years old to send an inquiry or request an artist listing. If you act for a business, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
What Microblading.design is
Microblading.design is an educational resource and directory. We help people learn about brow services and find independent permanent makeup artists. We do not perform, supervise, schedule or guarantee any cosmetic procedure, and artists listed on the site are not our employees or agents. Any appointment, price, payment, consent form or aftercare arrangement is between you and the artist.
Educational content, not medical advice
Our guides, style pages, compatibility information and the Brow Blueprint are general educational information. They are not medical advice, a diagnosis or a determination that a procedure is safe or suitable for you. Results, healing and pigment retention vary from person to person. Talk with a licensed professional, and your doctor where appropriate, before any procedure, especially if you are pregnant or nursing, take medications, or have a skin or medical condition. Images labeled as illustrations or AI concepts are not photographs of real results.
Artist listings and verification
Profile information is provided by artists. We review access requests and profiles before publishing them, but we do not guarantee that any artist is licensed, qualified or available, or that their work or prices are as described. Where a profile shows a verification status, it reflects only the specific checks described on that profile, at the time they were made.
Before booking, confirm that the artist and studio hold the licenses or permits your state or county requires, and ask to see their health-department or establishment documentation.
Paid, featured and sponsored placements
Verification is free. It is based only on the checks described on the artist's profile and can never be purchased. During the beta, approved artists receive a free listing. We may later offer paid plans with profile tools and extra visibility. Placements that an artist pays for are always labeled, for example as “Sponsored” or “Featured”, and a paid placement is not an endorsement or recommendation of the artist's work. Any fees, billing terms and cancellation terms will be shown to the artist before they purchase.
Artist responsibilities
If you request or maintain a listing, you agree that:
- the information you provide is accurate, and you will keep it current;
- you hold, and will maintain, the licenses, permits and insurance required where you work;
- portfolio images show your own real client work. AI-generated images, stock photos and other artists' work are not permitted;
- you have the permission of every person who appears in an image you submit, and you will remove an image if that permission is withdrawn;
- you will not make false or misleading claims about your training, credentials, results or prices; and
- you will handle client inquiries professionally and use clients' contact details only to respond to their inquiry and as the law allows.
We may decline, edit for accuracy or format, pause or remove any listing or image at our discretion.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of the text, images and other content you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, display, format and distribute that content to operate and promote Microblading.design and your listing. The license ends when the content is removed from the site, except for copies kept in backups for a limited time or where we are required to keep them. You confirm you have the rights needed to grant this license.
Client inquiries
When you send an inquiry, we pass it to the artist you selected. We cannot guarantee that an artist will respond, accept you as a client or provide any service. Do not include medical or other sensitive details in an inquiry that you do not want the artist to see.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading or spam inquiries, requests or listings;
- impersonate an artist, studio or other person, or claim a listing you are not authorized to manage;
- upload content that infringes others' rights or that is unlawful, harassing or explicit;
- use bots or scripts to submit forms in bulk, scrape the site at a volume that disrupts it, or bypass our spam protection. Assistants acting at the direction of a real person to make a genuine inquiry are welcome; or
- attempt to access non-public areas, accounts or data, or interfere with the site's security.
Our content
The site's design, text, guides, graphics and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to our pages for personal, non-commercial use. Other uses need our written permission. Suggestions you send us may be used without obligation to you.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent: Copyright Agent, GoSubmitto Inc., PO Box 571, Claremont, CA 91711, copyright@microblading.design. Include your contact details, a description of the work, the page where the material appears, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove content and, in appropriate cases, end the listings of repeat infringers.
Third-party sites
Profiles and pages may link to artists' websites, booking tools and social media such as Instagram and TikTok. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant the services, qualifications, licensing or results of any artist.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss or dissatisfaction arising from a procedure or other service provided by an artist you found through the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Indemnity
If you are an artist or studio, you will defend and indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your listing, your content, your services to clients, or your breach of these terms or the law.
Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove access, listings or content that we reasonably believe violate these terms, create risk for users, or are no longer accurate. You may stop using the site at any time, and artists may ask us to remove their listing.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@microblading.design so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days.
Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be decided exclusively by the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will give additional notice. Changes apply from their effective date. Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept the updated terms.
